Justin Gold

Justin Gold

Founder of Justin's

Justin Gold is the founder of Justin’s, a Boulder-based company that makes high-quality nut butter, organic nut butter cups, and plant-based snacks.

From humble beginnings at local Farmers’ Markets to launching a national brand, Justin’s is now one of the country’s fastest growing natural foods companies, with Gold serving as an innovator and thought leader in the space.

Justin’s was acquired by Hormel Foods in 2016 and he is currently leading new product development and strategy for Rudi’s Organic Bakery, the country’s first nationally distributed organic bakery.

He has earned numerous individual and company awards and recognition over the years, including entrepreneur of the year by Ernst and Young in 2013 and Inc. 500 fastest growing companies.

He also serves as the chair of Wild Bear Nature Center, mentors and speaks at Universities regularly and is an avid outdoor enthusiast.

Bill Capsalis

Former Executive Director, Naturally Boulder | Founder, VP Marketing, Mentor

Bill Capsalis is veteran of the healthy lifestyle healthy living industry where he’s been helping emerging brands find a path to market for over 30 years. Having worked with over 500 natural products brands his deep knowledge of the industry keeps him busy helping all kinds of founders.

Bill has served as the VP of Marketing at GAIAM, been the cofounder of a cleaning products brand, worked in agency settings and most recently left his full-time role as the Executive Director of Naturally Boulder a trade association dedicated to helping emerging companies learn and grow.

His passion for all things sustainable and regenerative impacts everything he does. He also loves playing the bass guitar in several local bands.

Fred Storck

Consultant/Advisor/Mentor, Former VP Sales Beyond Meat

Fred Storck is an accomplished sales and marketing leader with a proven track record of generating substantial revenue growth within the food and consumer goods industries. As a consultant and strategic advisor, he lends his expertise in sales force effectiveness, new market development, and maximizing ROI through targeted strategies.

Fred's experience includes leadership roles with innovative companies like Beyond Meat, where he served as Vice President of Sales overseeing the expansion of their plant-based meat products into new retail and foodservice channels. Prior to that, he was President and Owner of Storck Strategic Sales Development, a consultancy assisting emerging brands enter new markets successfully.

Fred has also held senior executive positions at Blue Horizon Seafood and Breyers Yogurt Company, directing sales, marketing and operations teams. During his tenure, he developed and implemented long-term growth strategies resulting in increased sales, distribution and market share.

An entrepreneur at heart, Fred enjoys mentoring startup entrepreneurs and guiding established firms to capture new revenue opportunities. He possesses keen business acumen, a collaborative leadership style and proven track record of motivating teams to maximize ROI through rapid yet strategic executions.

Peggy Shell

For more than a decade, entrepreneurs in technology, natural products/CPG, and climate/sustainability, and more have come to rely on CA to help them find top talent and build successful teams for greater impact.

Peggy’s passion for fostering people-first cultures, both within her own company and with CA’s recruiting clients, is rooted in her belief that when work inspires purpose, belonging and positivity it is additive to people’s lives. This sets in motion a perpetual cycle of good that makes the world a better place.

Peggy is a member of Entrepreneurs Organization’s Colorado’s chapter and has served on the board as the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Chair.

She received her Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Education from Northwestern University and became a math teacher after college. Now a longtime Coloradan, Peggy lives and plays in Niwot with her husband, two sons and many, many pets. She enjoys staying active with yoga, tennis, softball, golf, hiking and skiing.

Rob Allen

Managing Partner, POV, LLC

Rob is the Managing Partner at POV, LLC, a strategic advisory and wholesale brokerage company. He is also the Co-Founder and VP-Business Development of Full Good Fulfillment and Logistics; specializing in CPG logistics offering an agency approach to building sales and efficiency throughout the supply chain in D2C, B2B and wholesale markets for emerging growth CPG brands. Prior to POV & Full Good, he spent 32 years in a myriad of senior leadership, ownership & investment positions within M&A, R&D, Retail and Strategic Advisement.

Mark Maggio

CEO of Madhava

Mark joined Madhava in 2017 as the VP of Sales & Marketing. In 2023 he took over as the CEO for the Company. Mark co-founded Boulder Canyon snacks in 1994, selling it to a public company in 2000. After leaving Inventure in 2006 Mark founded a consumer products consulting firm where he spent the next 10 years launching new brands (including: Koia, Nawgan, Vertical Water, Laurel Hill, Borojo, and Salba Smart) and assisting more than a dozen companies in growing their businesses through innovation, expansion into new sales channels and margin improvements (including: a2 Milk, Smári Icelandic Yogurt, Tio Gazpacho, Popcorn Indiana, Smart Balance, and Earth Balance). In his 30 years of experience building brands in consumer products, Mark has participated in several capital raises as well as sell and buy side for multiple businesses. Mark lives in Erie, Colorado and spends his free time exploring the parks and trails in the mountains of Colorado.
